Torshälla

Torshälla was given its town charter in the 12th century. It has kept a lot of it's "olde worlde" charm, with cobblestone alleys and wooden buildings. The spectacular 10th century church makes a beautiful silhouette in the Old Town.

The Artist Allan Ebeling has made his mark on Torshälla. His iron sculpture “Tor's Goats” represents the city's heathen past. His work, paintings, ceramics and sculptures are presented at the Ebeling Museum. Here you can also visit temporary exhibitions. From the Klock hill you have a fantastic view over Tor's Goats.

Here you will also find Brandt Contemporary Glass. Åsa Brandt is one of Swede's most famous studio glass artists. In Torshälla you will also find the well known potter Rolf Berg, who's classic ceramic Santa Clauses are very popular.

In Torshälla there is always something to do, but when you want to relax it is always easy to find somewhere quiet.
