Sundbyholm

Sundbyholm, 10 km from Eskilstuna, at the shore of Lake Mälaren, is perfect for recreation and relaxation.

It has a beautiful castle, excellent dining and one of Sweden's most popular marinas.

Other attractions include leafy beech woods, Lake Mälaren and its beaches, a golf course and a race course. Here you will find a lot to discover.

Within walking distance you will find the famous Sigurdsristningen. This unique rock carving retells the famous saga of Sigurd Fafnesbane. These old stories are still used today, for example in Wagner's operas.

In Lake Mälaren beside Sundbyholm you will find a fantastic landscape with many islands. The Ridö-Sundbyholm archipelago nature reserve is a popular destination for a trip.

The castle of Sundbyholm has been home to many kings and nobles. Among others, Prince Eugen who 1890 made the famous painting "The old castle".
