In Eskilstuna and Torshälla you are always close to water. The Eskilstuna river connects the two great lakes Mälaren and Hjälmaren, creating endless possibilities for swimming, fishing and boating. Eskilstuna's countryside offers a lot to see and do.

During the summer water sports are a popular pastime, while in winter the area is famous for ice skating. Eskilstuna is well known for its beautiful surroundings. 

Try horse-back riding at Ridled Barva or go walking along the Sörmlandsleden hiking track by the banks of beautiful lake Näshulta. Here you can try many different activities, like the beaver safari, fishing and much more.

Skjulsta is a popular recreation area in Eskilstuna. It is situated by the fast-flowing Eskilstuna river. The rapids here are a paradise for sports fishermen.
